Weekly Update

Updates from the past week:

Fortunately, I was in a position to help a couple of people. And that is what it is all about.

Veterans Practice:
* I am now one of only two VA accredited attorneys in Kirksville.
* My application to the bar of the Court of Appeals of Veterans Claims is pending.

Veterans Court Project:
We met with a few people to work on the process of getting a veterans court established in Northeast Missouri. This is something we feel strongly about as most veterans entering the criminal justice system have underlying issues that need treatment. By investing a little time and getting the veterans connected to the services to which they are entitled as a result of their service, we can see positive results for everyone and significantly reduce the potential for future offenses.

Office Upgrades:
* The wall of freedom is just about complete in the lobby. Come check it out. Oh, and I finally got my diploma framed. Beards in Kirksville did it and it looks great.

Grand Opening:
Nothing to do on election day? The Chamber of Commerce is doing the official ribbon cutting for our office at 11 a.m. It’ll be a happy event to warm you up for election giddiness or counter election woes. And, we’ll have cookies. Everything is better with cookies.

And remember:

We help people resolve difficult situations in the best way possible.

You’re worth fighting for!
